Oh May

Frisbee in the Rain with Tim
A month of busyness.   I started out visiting friends and family in Wisconsin, Indiana, and talking shop with the leaders of Life of Hope in Missouri, the people I originally went to Guatemala with.  There were some fun unexpected adventures along the way:  despite giving up meeting with one acquaintance in Wisconsin, we ended up headed through the same town she was in as a part of my buddy Tim's quest to visit all the county courthouses of Wisconsin, and it ended up we got to have an impromptu worship and testimony and shared vision session.  Pretty cool.  We also saw an art museum entirely dedicated to paintings of birds that day.  o.0

Got to share in a baptism at my sister's church in Bloomington!  It was really good to get some quality time before her upcoming marriage.  :)

The conversations with Life of Hope people were encouraging and fairly straight-forward.  The ins and outs of the non-profit world are strange.  But it was definitely worth the time.

Also got to visit with my Cuzunkle in SIloam Springs, Arkansas.  It was great to see him and his wife again, and to visit Crystal Bridges Art Museum and the Wal-Mart museum while they were at work.  He works at Dayspring Cards, which was also a very interesting place.  :)

Then it was up to Bartlesville to take a walk and play some music with Greg, my old bandmate.  It was really encouraging for both of us to swap stories, songs, and see how we've progressed.  You can check out his music here:  https://www.reverbnation.com/boughtwithaprice/songs

Checking out the Chihuly Glass Ceiling in Wichita
After that, it was Wichita with my buddy Nathan, my best friend from college.  We prayed together every day for a couple years, so he knows me pretty well.  It was really good to catch up, rest, see Wichita together, and compare notes on life.  We also played some pretty fun board games with his wife.   This was one of the highlights of the whole trip for sure.  Miss that guy!

Onward!
