So, we've been offered some money to get Equipping the Least off the ground...I'm totally stoked, God provides when I least expect it every time. Pray for wisdom and direction as far as finances, plans, and partners in this ministry to street kids, orphans, and churches around the globe. And send me your ideas.
I'm planning to attend a conference in Arkansas on Orphans this coming month. Should be exciting!
And next Friday I'm helping start a youth group at my church! Yikes! Pray that whoever's supposed to come will come, and that I would be diligent and inspired, willing to get out of the way so God can work.
Also, I'm getting a primary at work soon (I hope). This means I'll be in charge of some poor youth's future. So pray for wisdom, love, and direction there too.
Also pray for my parents, they've got an unspoken request, and pray for wisdom for myself as to whether or not I should follow through on my plan to do a missions/vision trip to Lithuania and Russia again this summer. I've told some people I was coming (as friends), but some financial and logistical snags are currently in the mix.
I've been working a lot on writing and music lately, including a couple poems in Spanish and a bunch of videos on youtube: Set me as a Seal (song). Las Traes (bilingual poem). I've even been doing movie reviews of the things I see at work and the foreign films I get from the library for practice.
Lastly, I sent in my Testimony to Refuge Ranch (fishersofmenmexico.org). And right now, pending approval, my plan is to move to Mexico sometime after I finish here in Atlantic City, probably in September. This is really exciting for a lot of reasons. I get to work with youth, education, outreach, music, and missions, and all of this with one of the coolest families I've ever met.
2011 is going to be a very cool year!
