Since starting youth group, two youth have come to Christ, three need Bibles, and two youth want to get baptized. And it was all God, all I've done is hang out with them and play games. I've been doing a loose Sunday School with one of the guys, and we had eight people bowling this week! Pray for these youth, most of them don't know much about church, and that's really exciting to me. Pray that I would be faithful to love the youth, to not rush things, and that God would provide someone to replace me when I am gone.
Also, the Zaragosas have taken in five more kids! So at least some of the staff are pretty excited at the prospect of me coming down and helping with school, crowd control, and discipleship.
I'm excited for this Orphan conference! Pray that God would challenge and use me, and provide connections and wisdom. I'll also probably get to share at Cornerstone in Norman, so I'm looking forward to that.
Continued prayer for finding a parent organization for my ministry "Equipping the Least"...I'm waiting on a response right now from one org, but I want to be where God wants me.
Praise God that He is challenging me. This morning's sermon was a smackdown, but I needed it. Pray for continued growth in my relationship with God. I've realized now that in Oklahoma I was going to church 4 nights a week, worshipping two-three times a week, praying three-five times a week with my buddy Nathan, as well as teaching on a regular basis. That was a lot of input, and sometimes it kept me so busy I wasn't ministering. But I haven't even been very consistent in quiet time, and I feel God continues to use me in spite of my heart. Pray that He would turn me inside out, that I would find joy and peace in Him.
