Royal Center of Friendship, IN

Chillin at Youth Group Before or After a Game of Zombies
Not surprisingly I suppose, a town with a name like "Royal Center of Friendship" knows how to show a warm welcome.  :)   I stopped for a weekend to visit the Marshalls in rural Indiana a week ago--they had served with me in Mexico at Refuge Ranch, and we collaborated on youth events and teaching English.  Joanna, their daughter, was working on writing a novel at the time, so we had a lot to talk about as well.

Sharing with the group
I shared at youth group.   The group was very kind and open; even though I didn't know any of them, they accepted me readily as we played games and then as I shared my stories and songs.  I always like when I ask a group of young people "who here is a leader?"  "Who here is a missionary?" and no one raises their hand.  Cuz then I can proceed to try to change their minds.  :)

Having fun with the Marshalls

Saturday we did an extended life-coaching session with Joanna.  That was really rewarding and at least made me think a lot about life and priorities and dreams and following God.  Hopefully she had a similar experience.  :)   Then we got attacked with silly string!
