So the weekend before I left Lithuania we went for a weekend wedding in Vilnius for my dad's co-worker/my "adopted" older sister Veslava. Sure enough, they got me (and Kate) to play a couple songs and then the DJ got lost so I DJ'd the wedding. I was so proud to be a Metelak, because while awkward Finnish and Lithuanian families were figuring out what to do with one another, we were able to step in and just help with various things going on at the wedding. Service as a family! After much crazy and amusing "dancing" (Kate and I were the last ones standing), Kate and I sat down and just sang some worship along with the computer, and then went out and saw the beautiful milky way shining and a couple satellites. It's been a while since I've been awed by the stars, so that was really good, and what started as something that I was just totally not looking forward to turned into something beautiful. Thanks God!
Here's the song Kate and I sang: "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
