So after seeing friends in Scotland, I had the pleasure of meeting Central Hall Methodist Church of Plymouth through my friend Rachel and her family. They had all come to Kyrgyzstan last year, and talked a lot about their youth club, which sounded cool.
Rachel was amazing setting up chances to share and sharing her city! :)
So on Friday I went to youth club and shared for about 25 minutes, then on Saturday we had a Kyrgyzstan night and I shared and showed a bunch of pictures, which was really cool, even if our plov didn't taste quite greasy enough. :) Then on Sunday I did youth church and shared with another 12 teens. That one wasn't as good, but Mr. Graham saved it by making me play a couple of my songs at the end. Got to meet some really cool peeps, this one guy was a writer who heads up their Alpha course. Their worship leader was this scrawny Californian looking guy who is working on his album and came to youth club dressed as Spider-Man. And the youth leader was this awesome Bulgarian girl who, despite feeling a big out of place in England, really was giving it her all as a youth leader and always just pointing to God in every little way. She was encouraging.
Another place where I saw God in all of this, I very specifically said I wasn't looking for money...but I had told my friends in the UK that if I was gonna come visit, I'd need help with the budget...and I was starting to despair, because while everyone had been really generous with food and places to stay and local stuff, I was going to run out of money and didn't have anything to offset the bus tickets. And anyway, two of my friends I met here gave me enough to cover the cost of my whole Europe trip. So that is cool and I had enough to buy my ticket to Arizona, where I will begin the 6-month North America part of this shindig. Onward!
